The McLaurin home is a mountain build wrapped in sage green vertical siding with timber-frame gables at the front entry and the rear porch. The house steps down the slope to a lower level, with wide composite decks and black cable railing running along the back so the living spaces open straight onto the view.
Inside, the main living area rises to a vaulted tongue-and-groove pine ceiling with exposed collar ties and a tall gable window. The open kitchen has gray cabinetry and a long dark-topped island with seating, the living room centers on a stacked stone fireplace, and sliding barn doors, tile showers and lighted vanity mirrors finish the bedrooms and baths.
